Monte da Garça is submersed in the peaceful and charming countryside near Cercal in Southwest Alentejo with rolling golden hills dotted by pine, olive and cork trees. Monte da Garça is built in a traditional “monte de Alentejo” style, but full of modern amenities and detail. The house can lodge up to 4 people + 1 baby, has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room with a fully equipped kitchen and a beautiful garden with its own private pool and barbecue area. There is a lovely, covered terrace with a dining table and small lounge area overlooking the pool and garden where guests can relax and enjoy a good meal and watch the sunset. Beyond the garden and pool area, the villa has three acres of fenced farmland where domestic animals such as horses, cows or sheep may at times be allowed to grass. As the name “Garça” indicates, the property is also a haven for storks who return to their nests in the trees on the hilltop every spring, to raise their young.

Monte da Garça is located just outside Cercal do Alentejo, 1.5 km from the town center and 12 km from some of the best beaches on the Costa Vicentina: Vila Nova de Mil Fontes | Porto Covo | Malhão | Aivados. Although shops and restaurants are only a five-minute drive away, the area feels peaceful and secluded. Local culture and heritage are kept alive through small, traditional family run farms around the property. The villa is perfect for nature walks as it is located in a protected area surrounded by the spectacular Vicentine Coast walking trails.
