With easy access to the expressway (VR1), planning routes across the island becomes incredibly practical. From here, it is easy to drive east to marvel at the historic bay of Machico and the volcanic landscapes of Ponta de São Lourenço. Head inland to be awestruck by the above-the-clouds views at the imposing Pico do Arieiro, or follow the forest paths to explore the magical network of Levadas. In no time, you can also pop over to the neighbouring Garajau nature reserve to visit the famous Cristo Rei!

This is a self-check-in property and you will be asked to verify your identity before being able to check in to the accommodation (15:00). We ask all guests to fill in a registration form that will be sent after booking confirmation, in accordance with the legal obligations stipulated by the local authorities in Portugal. There is a zero-tolerance policy for smoking on the property. If our team discovers any evidence that this rule has been violated (e.g., smell of tobacco, ash, cigarette butts, etc.), we reserve the right to charge a fee of at least €200 EUR. Please note that for stays of more than 30 nights, a fair use policy for utilities will apply with a limit of €80 included. For the first few days, we provide the following basic amenities: small containers of shower gel, shampoo and soap, toilet paper, kitchen roll, sponge, washing-up liquid and bin bags. Extra keys: €20 (extra set when possible, lost keys or door-opening service). Extra cleaning: price of a cleaning fee. Extra linen: €30 (towels and sheets for 2 people, i.e., when the sofa bed is not included).
