Probably the most famous symbol of Portugal, the colourful ceramic cockerel originates in the pretty town of Barcelos where, according to local legend, it is reputed to have saved the life of a traveller wrongly accused of theft by crowing his innocence. Apart from the famous cock, another gem of Barcelos is the enormous weekly market held every Thursday in the Campo Da Republica. This open square in the centre of the town is one of the largest of its kind in the country, and the market boasts a vast range of locally produced ceramics alongside other handcrafts and local goods. Other parts of interest in the town include the old Jewish quarter and the various streets lined with medieval and baroque houses.

Welcome to my home! This property is centrally located to enjoy everything the countryside offers, and it can accommodate four people. It has multiple windows so guests can enjoy the sunlight and the outside view. The living room is minimally furnished and well-kept, which includes a comfortable sitting area where you can relax after a long day exploring the city and a TV to watch all your favourite shows. The open-plan kitchen includes top-of-the-range appliances, essential cookware, cutleries to fulfil culinary requirements, and a dining table. The two bedrooms include two queen beds, all suited with complimentary high-quality linens for a good night's rest. The bathroom has all the amenities you need to freshen up, including clean towels and complimentary toiletries. The house is always professionally cleaned for your comfort. Enjoy your stay!

If our team discovers evidence that this rule has been breached (e.g., smoke smell, ashes, butts, etc.), we fully reserve the right to charge a €200 smoking fee at minimum. Please note that for stays longer than 30 nights, a fair use policy of the utilities will apply with a limit of 80€. For the first days, we provide the basic amenities: samples of shower gel, shampoo, soap, toilet paper, kitchen roll, sponge, dishwashing products and bin bag. Extra keys: 20€ (extra pair of keys when available, lost keys or service to open the door during your stay). Extra cleaning with linen: the price of a cleaning fee.
