Neighbourhood
Formerly a working class district, the XIth arrondissement is now one of the most ""trendy"" districts of the capital, especially on the Place de la Bastille side with many bars with different atmospheres. The district is also rich in theatres and concert halls, such as the Bataclan, the Bastille theatre and the Balajo. You can also enjoy yourself at the Cirque d'Hiver and the Bastille Opera. Moreover, it is the most festive district of Paris, thanks to its multitude of bars and restaurants, full of life and madness on the Bastille side, more chic towards Oberkampf. But you can also enjoy the peace and quiet of the hidden cities, including the Cité du Figuier and the Cité Durmar, or take a stroll along the Canal Saint-Martin.
