Known as the Latin Quarter, the 5th arrondissement is located on the left bank of the Seine. This district is home to the Sorbonne University, founded in 1257, as well as several other schools and colleges. It is therefore known as a student district. Visitors enjoy the 5th arrondissement of Paris for its perfect mix of excellent restaurants, stores, jazz clubs and student cafes. The apartment is perfectly located in the heart of the Latin Quarter and also close to the Ile de la Cité, which includes stores and restaurants: - La Contrescarpe - Oh Purée - The Wall - L'époque - L'assiette aux fromages - Maison Verlaine - Bakery and pastry shop You can discover many tourist places: - Place de la contrescarpe (1 min walk) - Pantheon (6 min walk) - Notre Dame Cathedral (13 min walk) - Luxembourg Garden (12 min walk) You can easily go anywhere in Paris thanks to the cab rank next to the building and/or the Place Monge metro station (line 7) The Franprix supermarket is 3 min walk from the apartment: Franprix, 122-124 Rue Mouffetard, 75005 Paris
