Stadtteil
Perched on the western coast of Corsica, Cargèse is an authentic village that proudly overlooks the Mediterranean Sea. It’s known for its typical Corsican charm, well-preserved natural surroundings, and its unique dual religious heritage — home to both a Latin and a Greek church just steps from each other. Here, you’ll experience a warm and peaceful atmosphere, with picturesque alleys, local shops, family-run restaurants, and turquoise beaches just minutes away. The lively marina, especially vibrant in summer, invites you to enjoy a boat trip or sip a drink at sunset on a terrace facing the sea. Cargèse is also a fantastic starting point for exploring the region’s treasures: the Scandola Nature Reserve, the Calanques of Piana, scenic hikes through the Corsican scrubland, and the wild beaches of the Gulf of Sagone. Peace, natural beauty, and authenticity make this Corsican gem an ideal destination for a relaxing holiday with family or friends.
