Take the pedestrian street to reach the magnificent medieval town, dominated by the royal residence, an architectural gem from the late Middle Ages, which notably hosted Joan of Arc, Anne of Brittany, and Agnès Sorel, mistress of King Charles VII. Don't miss the spectacular 37-meter-high keep, a masterpiece of 11th-century military architecture and one of the best-preserved in Europe. Its numerous engraved inscriptions bear witness to its past as a prison. Today, an immersive and interactive experience allows you to discover this monument through sound effects, videos, and projections. The region is also brimming with must-see attractions: Beauval Zoo, just 30 minutes away (allow a full day), Amboise and the Clos Lucé, Leonardo da Vinci's last residence, the romantic Château de Chenonceau, Futuroscope in Poitiers (about an hour away), and the majestic Château de Chambord. Access is via the steep and narrow lane, "le chemin de Montmartre". At the very top is your private car park at the level of the directional post. You have access to the entire accommodation.
