Alfama is Lisbon's most emblematic quarter and one of the most rewarding for walkers and photographers thanks to its medieval alleys and outstanding views. As one of Europe’s oldest neighbourhoods. It was settled as far back as the Iron Age, and later occupied by the Romans, Visigoths and other Germanic tribes, before becoming the heart of Moorish Lisbon. With the conquest of the city by Portugal’s first king in 1147, the Moors were either killed in the siege or segregated in Mouraria, and Alfama became home to the upper classes. It was also the Jewish quarter until the Jews were expelled (together with all other non-Christians who didn’t convert) in 1497. As Lisbon expanded, the wealthy residents moved west, leaving Alfama to the fishing community.

Located in the charming neighbourhood of Santa Engrácia, named after its beautiful 17th-century church, this inviting apartment overlooks the picturesque rooftops of Alfama, with a spacious outdoor terrace offering stunning panoramic views of Lisbon’s historic quarter and the Tagus River. The apartment features one comfortable bedroom with a queen-size bed and premium hotel-quality linens. Its timeless European charm is reflected in the rich wooden floors, soft cream-coloured walls, floor-to-ceiling windows, and elegant décor. Designed for a comfortable stay, the apartment comes with a fully equipped kitchen, dishwasher, washer-dryer, cosy dining area, and inviting living room with a decorative fireplace. The sofa converts into a double bed, accommodating up to two additional guests, with fresh linens provided. There is also one private bathroom with a shower, hot water, fresh towels, and complimentary toiletries. The apartment will be professionally cleaned and sanitised before your arrival. Make yourself at home and enjoy everything beautiful Lisbon has to offer!

This is a self-check-in property and you will be requested to verify your identity before being able to check into the flat. Check-in can be done from 15:00, pending availability and confirmation. We provide the basic amenities for the first use: samples of shower gel, shampoo, soap, toilet paper, kitchen roll, sponge, dishwashing products and bin bag. If you need cleaning or extra linen, please let us know, we will be happy to provide for an aditional There is a zero-tolerance policy for smoking in the property. If our team discovers any evidence that this rule has been breached (e.g., smoke smell, ashes, butts, etc.) we fully reserve the right to charge a €200 EUR smoking fee, at minimum. Please note that for stays longer than 30 nights a fair use policy of the utilities will apply with a limit of 80€ included. Extra keys: 20€ (extra pair of keys when available, lost keys or service to open the door during your stay) Extra cleaning with linen: price of a cleaning fee Extra Clothing: 30€ (Towels and sheets for 2pax i.e when sofa bed is not included)

Very good with minor restrictions It was not possible to get a handyman. The bed had collapsed. We had to help ourselves. There was only correspondence but no usable bed!
